1. Data controller

NIYACAM Technology LLC is the data controller responsible for personal data processed through PlayForge. If you have questions about this policy or how we handle your data, you can contact us through the billing portal or by email at the address provided in your account communications.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of personal data to provide and improve the Service:

• Account information: name, email address, password hash, and authentication provider details when you create an account.
• Profile information: display name, team/theme preferences, and saved playbook content.
• Usage data: play generation requests, feature interactions, and app performance telemetry.
• Device and log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and timestamps.
• Support data: messages, tickets, and feedback you submit to our support team.

Payment information is collected and processed by our Merchant of Record, Paddle (see Section 6 below). We do not store full card numbers or bank details on our servers.

3. How we use your data

We use your personal data for the following purposes and on the following legal bases:

• Providing the Service: to create and manage your account, generate and save plays, and process your subscription (contract performance).
• Security and fraud prevention: to protect accounts, detect abuse, and enforce our Terms of Service (legitimate interests and legal obligation).
• Product improvement: to analyze usage, fix bugs, and develop new features (legitimate interests, using anonymized data where possible).
• Customer support: to respond to your questions and resolve issues (contract performance and legitimate interests).
• Marketing: to send product updates or promotional emails, only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

PlayForge uses cookies and local storage for essential purposes such as authentication, session management, and remembering your theme preferences. We may also use analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may affect Service functionality.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following categories of recipients and for the stated purposes:

• Service providers: hosting, cloud infrastructure, authentication, analytics, and customer-support tools that process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality and security obligations.
• Paddle (Merchant of Record): for secure payment processing, subscription management, tax compliance, invoicing, and refund handling. Paddle acts as a separate controller for payment-related data.
• Professional advisers: legal, accounting, and compliance professionals where necessary to protect our rights or meet legal obligations.
• Authorities: when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of NIYACAM Technology LLC, our users, or others.

6. International transfers

Your data may be stored or processed in countries outside your country of residence, including the United States. Where data is transferred from the UK, EEA, or other jurisdictions requiring safeguards, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses and adequacy decisions to ensure your data remains protected.

7. Data retention

We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to provide the Service, fulfill the purposes described in this policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. Account data is generally retained until you delete your account or we terminate it under our Terms of Service.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements).
• Restrict or object to certain processing activities.
• Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.

To exercise your rights, contact us through your account settings or the billing portal. We will respond within one month of receiving a verified request.

Deleting your account: you can delete your PlayForge account, your saved plays, and your associated records at any time from the Account page inside the app (Account → Delete account). Deletion is immediate and irreversible; we retain only the billing records we are legally required to keep.

8a. Data collection summary (app store disclosure)

For Apple App Privacy and Google Play Data safety, this is what PlayForge collects and how it is used:

• Contact info (email address) — used for account creation, sign-in, and service messages. Linked to your identity. Not used for tracking or advertising.
• User content (plays, formations, team colors) — stored so your playbook is available across devices. Linked to your identity.
• Purchase history — subscription status and billing events, handled by Paddle, used to grant access to paid levels.
• Diagnostics — crash and error data used only to keep the app working.
• We do not sell personal data, do not share it with data brokers, and do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

9. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls, secure authentication, and regular security reviews. No online service is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children

PlayForge is designed for coaches and adults managing youth, school, and professional football programs. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe we have collected data from a child under 13, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version with an updated “Last updated” date and notify you of material changes through the Service or by email. Your continued use of PlayForge after the changes take effect means you accept the revised policy.
